Morrighan is the one of the three Goddesses of War, alongside her sisters, Badhbh Catha and Macha. Before his death, she was the wife of King Dagda, and is mother to most of his many children, though she was hardly involved in any of their upbringings. Morrighan is the most powerful of her "sisters", and also the most enigmatic. She rarely appears before mortals, and in fact, rarely appears before the Gods either, despite having once been their Queen.
